About
We are a rescue kitchen operation in Nelsonville OH (Athens County). we pick up food donations from farmers, grocers, food manufacturers, etc. Delivery it to the Rescue Kitchen where we sort it and work with the Executive Chef to cook, package and freeze meals that then get distributed to families in the SE Ohio region. Funding by the Joe Burrow Foundation, LaSoup Rescue Kitchen, Hocking College and Wasserstrom. Did you know that about 40% of foods go to waste that could easily go to the families who suffer with food insecurities? Your volunteer support is needed for this worthy cause and sustainable mission. Come be a part of something amazing!

Requirement Details
Must have transportation, willing to work in a standing position, possibly lifting up to 40 pounds, pushing and pulling. Should dress comfortably, clean clothing, with good quality walking shoes. Some position will be outdoors. You will receive an apron. Hair must be netted and pulled back if volunteering in the kitchen. Some position require driving a refrigerated van to pick up or deliver food. License and insurance would be required for that position.
