I volunteered at the Nelsonville Music Festival. It gave me the opportunity to get more involved in the greater Athens, Nelsonville and Southeast Ohio communities. I was able to talk with people in the community who all shared a love for music, and got to experience the festival while helping out. I loved being exposed to new musicians and the beautiful view of the Appalachian mountains. Overall this was a great experience and I loved getting to help make the production of the event run smoothly and give my time back to the community.

Sharing my experiences as an RA, giving advice, and answering questions to students who were considering applying for the RA position was a good experience. I had volunteered at one RA Information Session before, and I decided to volunteer for another because I enjoyed getting to share my knowledge with those who might've been nervous about applying.
Sharing my experiences as an RA, answering questions, and giving advice to prospective RA's was overall a very good experience! It gave me the opportunity to share what I wish I had known before going into the job, and it felt good knowing that I could ease some nerves of those who were considering applying for the job.
I enjoyed getting to set up and help run the silent disco. It did rain the night of the silent disco, so there had to be a quick change of plans, and I helped move the equipment inside the Living Learning Center and set it up inside. I got pretty damp but it was a lot of fun! After setting up I helped administer headphones for students in attendance. Overall, it was interesting to see the work that is put into events for students, and was a good experience getting to provide a fun night for students.
