UCM Center: For Spiritual Growth & Social Justice at Ohio University
Our mission is to engage the Ohio University and Athens communities in spiritual growth, work for social justice, and community service guided by socially progressive and interfaith values.
UCM Center provides free community meals: Wednesday Lunch & Thursday Supper. These meals are offered nearly every week of the year. We always welcome volunteers to prepare food, serve the meal, and clean up. Volunteers can help all or part of the following times:
Wednesday Lunch: Volunteers needed from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m (Meal served from Noon - 1:30 p.m.)
Thursday Supper: Volunteers needed from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. (Meal served from 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.)
UCM Center offers meaningful and skill building (paid and unpaid) internships by the semester and during the summer.
We also offer a variety of discussion groups and programs each semester including Home Improvement - volunteer service days.
