This has ended. If you attended, let the organizer know by recording your Impact!

Organizational Information: The WSU Cougar Food Pantry is powered by student funds to alleviate food insecurity for both undergraduate and graduate students. The Cougar Food Pantry has seen overwhelming success since the beginning of the Fall 2021 semester in the new CUB Ground Floor location. Having served logged over 1600 visits in the first two months of the Fall 2021 semester and serviced almost 3000 students as well as their household members, the Cougar Food Pantry is putting in maximum effort to support all of our hard working undergrad and grad students regardless of background.

Opportunity Description: Students will have the opportunity to assist in supporting food security on campus by moving, stocking, organizing, breaking down boxes, repackaging, and taking inventory of pantry goods.

Days/Times: Please meet at the CUB - Cougar Food Pantry (Ground Level) at 1:00 PM to meet with your group.

Requirements: Service hours are allocated based on amount of direct service participation and do not include meeting time and transportation to/from the service site. Students should plan to receive up to 1.5 hours of service for this project. Please dress appropriately for weather. Closed toed shoes required. All students are advised to bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothing. Masks are not a requirement for participation but are highly recommended.

Because of the current COVID-19 pandemic and for the safety of all of our students and partners, CCE-Led projects may be cancelled up until the project time. If the project is cancelled, we will notify you as soon as we are able in a timely manner.

Cancellation Policy: Participants can unregister on GivePulse up to 24 hours before the scheduled project start time. Please let CCE staff know if you are unable to participate if it is within 24 hours of the project meeting time. The CCE has a strict No Show Policy. After 2 No Shows students will be unable to participate in CCE-led Projects for the rest of the semester.

The CCE strives to sponsor activities that are accessible to all students. If you need accommodations to fully access the activities offered through the Center for Civic Engagement, please contact Sandra Kelly, at (509) 335-4609 or at least one day prior to the activity.
