Position Title: Media Volunteer Intern
Site: 94 Columbus Rd, Athens, OH with possibility to work remotely
Purpose/Objective: Community Food Initiatives has a small but dedicated group of supporters in the Athens community, and we need your help to expand our network and educate others on the importance of our work. Working with other volunteers and CFI staff, the Marketing Volunteer Intern will increase public awareness of CFI through development of marketing materials, and community outreach.
Duties & Activities:
∙ Design flyers and other creative materials for all programs ∙ Write and post social media and website content ∙ Photograph CFI events and programming, compiling them in a digital database of striking images for use in multimedia presentations, print publications, and on the web
Qualifications:
∙ Graphic design skills: experience with InDesign, Adobe Suite and/or Photoshop ∙ Experience with video editing, camera equipment and/or photography
∙ Detail Oriented, Accountable, and Reliable
∙ Ability to contribute individually, and participate in a marketing team
∙ Interest in community resilience and building an equitable, thriving local food system where everyone has access to healthy, local food; interest in building our community’s relationship with local food
Timeframe: 5 – 10 hours/ week ; Flexible scheduling
