CFI is seeking a Local Food Access Community Relations VISTA for June 2021 -- June 2022.  This is a year-long volunteer opportunity through AmeriCorps that offers numerous benefits including a bi-weekly living allowance.  The VISTA team member will be responsible for development and implementation of a community engagement strategy that includes donor communications and growing CFI’s network. The VISTA will work with our Communications Director to research and create online and offline content, and to broaden CFI’s audience through multiple communication channels. The VISTA will build and maintain relationships with partners, supporters and key community members, and will support and evaluate the results of community engagement campaigns with the team.  Apply by May 5, 2021!

Duration:
June 7, 2021 - June 6, 2022
Hours: 35-40 hours per week

Sites:  94 Columbus Rd. Athens, OH 
Compensation:  Bi-weekly living allowance

Basic Activities: 
1) Research, plan, and create new videos for existing CFI programming.
2) Research, plan, and coordinate new content for CFI’s podcast Root to Seed; create marketing plan.
3) Maintain and streamline communications and relations with donors and funders through donor database software.
4) Develop capacity for CFI and Appalachia Accessible Food Network Partners to facilitate engagement in rural communities facing barriers to food security.
